A new invasive freshwater shrimp has been found in the West Midlands. Dikerogammarus haemobaphes was found on the River Severn at Tewkesbury, the Bevere near Worcester, and also in two Worcestershire canals.

Online television channel Annandale TV recently spoke to Aileen Smith and Nick Chisholm of the River Annan Trust to learn about their new riverfly monitoring project. 17 volunteers have been monitoring the Annan in Dumfries & Galloway, after attending a RMI workshop in July this year hosted by the trust.
