Riverfly Recording Schemes Report 2010/11

The valuable work of the Riverfly Recording Schemes over the last two years is detailed in the 2010/11 report available on the Freshwater Biological Association website. Efforts to increase and facilitate interest in riverfly recording have been made through events and media, as well as the development of online recording. Numerous species surveys have been undertaken, including highlights such as confirming the Northern February red, Brachyptera putata as a British endemic, expanding the known range of one of our rarest riverflies, the Yellow mayfly Potamanthus luteus, and the exciting discovery of a new caddisfly species for Britain, Synagapetus dubitans.
