Wootton Riverine Woodland, the New Forest

April 2024 update

Since 2016, Forestry England volunteers have been carrying out RMI sampling in the New Forest. Volunteers then upskilled to Extended Riverfly in 2019, to get a more detailed picture of river health. The results of surveys at Wootton Riverine Woodland have been collated and shared in a fantastic report by Suzannah Egleston at Forestry England, which demonstrates how RMI data and Extended data can be used in restoration projects.
