EA Annual Fisheries Report

The EA has historically been the primary funder of the Riverfly Partnership and here in their annual fisheries report they share details about how they spend fishing licence income, including the amounts given to partnership working. The Environment Agency says “In 2022-23 we collaborated with over 1,000 partners. By pooling funds and resources with like-minded groups and organisations, we were often able to achieve more, and make an even bigger impact. Some of the organisations that we worked with between 2022 and 2023 included The Angling Trust, Wild Trout Trust, Institute of Fisheries Management, the Riverfly Partnership as well as local river trusts, angling clubs and charities and many more.”

We are grateful to the Environment Agency for their financial support, and we are working closely with them on issues regarding trigger level setting and trigger breach reporting, increasing and strengthening our ties for greater collaboration.
