Riverfly Conference to be hosted online

Rail strikes and travel disruption.

The Riverfly Conference will be an online event.

As many of you will have seen in the news, there is planned strike action for the days either side of the Riverfly Conference and there will likely be widespread disruption to rail services on the day itself. Due to be held at The Natural History Museum in London on the 17th of March, but with strikes announced for the 16th and 18th, we have made the difficult decision to host the conference online rather than cancel entirely. The agenda and timings remain unchanged and those that have purchased a ticket via Eventbrite will have received an email to advise of the change. In the coming weeks you will also receive further instructions on how to join the conference online. There are still tickets available to purchase.

We appreciate that this is disappointing, we too were very much looking forward to seeing everyone gathered together, but we feel this is the best solution for all. Hopefully this will minimise travel related stresses for everyone, avoid extra expenditure on alternative travel or accommodation, and this will mean all our speakers are still able to present their talks. We hope you will still find the conference enjoyable, albeit virtually, with interesting, informative talks and chances for Q&A sessions.
